Ta Dah! The Bed.
After canvassing outside opinion, the vote seems to be a valance. :)
So here is the bed. As it is, in all it's glory. I'm thinking of two more pillows and a valance. The question is ... what sort of valance would suit best?

i know why the bed looks bigger - stripes always make you look fatter...
